“Money is the most dangerous magic.” I love that tagline and I think Toby Gold and the Secret Fortune is an excellent find for the middle-grade readers in your family. Everett has a great voice and I found myself laughing at the funny things his characters say, like, “Rat snacks!”
There is a certain scheme involving chocolate pudding that you won’t want to miss–especially because it concerns justice served in the face of a bully.
